another sad aspect of this whole event is something that five or six years ago I never thought I would say. CNN, FOX NEWS, and MSNBC covered Charley much better than TWC.
When Charley was coming onshore, I was glued to CNN and MSNBC. When I briefly flipped to TWC, they were showing the Weekly Planner (or some portion of it). It is a sad day in weather history for many reasons. TWC failing to live up to its reputation is another one of them. It looks like the news channels can cover the weather better than TWC.
While the destruction/loss of life is awful,

Agree... Seems like TWC is (and has been) stuck in a pre-canned format in just about everything they do. Even their local forcasts are almost robotic in nature. Big disappointment - TWC
I realize the rest of the country is still going about its business, but with such an extreme WX event taking place anywhere in the US, one would think the WX CHANNEL would know how and when to divert themselves from the ordinary. Things that make 'ya go hmmmm...
