channel 4 in Jax saying wind gusts of only

#1 Postby lp8391 » Fri Aug 13, 2004 1:18 pm

60 mph expected... Since it is now cat 4 how can that be?? Or is it because it is going ashore earlier that it will be weaker by the time it hits Jax area?

Thank you

The track has changed because he is making landfall much more to the South than expected. Charley is going to pass to the East before it hits Jacksonville and possibly be over the water at that time. There will probably be more wind along the Beaches possibly hurricane strenght gust.
