This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Eye wall now completely over Gulf Stream

IT'S THE RADAR ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT LABELED "FLORIDA KEYS"

Will the oranges and reds wrap all the way around? That pressure is still dropping. I'm concerned.

If you watch the inner feeder band (the band to the west and north), it is growing in organization and strength. When this happens, the eye wall usually strengthens once the energy is fed to it, which in this case will be about three hours. I'd expect a significant pressure drop in the next update.

It appears as though the eye is wobbling slightly to the NNE in the last frame. Such a small deviation may save Tampa. My guess is that it comes ashore just east of Tampa, and Tampa is brushed by its western wall. Fingers crossed on that one.

Of course, if that happens, then Sarasota/Bradenton is struck head on. There's no "saving" solution here trackwise.

I am certain now that since the eye has moved into water, the track has been due north (or even slightly, slightly, ever so slightly NNE). I don't know if this is a result of the eye wobbling, or if the track has actually begun to go due north.

I bite on that LSU could be just the slight interaction with cuba but not much overall diff in nnw to n so I'll go with north at about 11knts

I suspect it was just a wobble. Now it looks like it has wobbled back NNNNW.
