John did you cut your grass?
Did you vacuum your rugs?
Did you do the dishes?
Did you turn your fridge on extra cold?
Did you gas up your car?
Do you have a hand operated can opener?
Did you go to the grocery store?
Did you do all of your wash?
Did you put important papers in ziplock bags and up high?
Did you board up your windows?
Did you board up your neighbors windows?
Did you put a battery backup in your alarm clock?
Did you get medicine that you might need?
Did you go to the bank?
Did you put all your lawn furniture and trash cans away?
all flying objects for that matter?
Did you take a bath?
LOL that should be enough busy work for awhile anyway!!

also... Fill all your bathtubs up with water...
for a water supply... it may come in handy...
fill any and all ice chests up with ice... if
you lose power.. you'll be able to sell ice cold
cokes for $5.00 a pop! (kidding)...
if you lose power... don't open your refriderator for
any reason... DON"T DO IT...you'll lose everything
very quick... and your fridge will turn into a regular
storage cabinet (that's where the ice chest come in handy)
if and when you lose power... and it stays off for days...
that's then you have the community cook out...
everyone empties the freezer (it's gonna go bad)
and you have a huge cook out... that's the funnest
part of all!
also... if you leave...and you know for sure the storm
hit your area... before returning home... go buy a chainsaw...
they turn to gold upon your return....

Lots of us all around Florida that are in the same 'boat' as you. We can all feel better knowing that we are taking the precautions and all there is left to do is 'hunker-down' and ride the storm out. But we will all check in when we can, right? I know I will. I will also say a little prayer for all my fellow Floridian buddies with hopes that all will be sunny Saturday afternoon.
