First post (been reading this site for 2 yrs.), lots of good info here. This was too funny to pass up. We have a "joke" at work that they always send Jim Cantori to the worst places. Folks really started to worry when he was reporting from Indiatlantic Beach when Floyd was headed our way. Pretty scarey driving to work and hearing that he is in your neighborhood! Fortunately, things turned out ok. The hardest thing for us that day was making a decision to "stay or go" - we had a phone call every 15 minutes from friends wanting to know "what we were going to do". We ended up with the folks that "waited too long", so we stayed, thank goodness Jim was out there on the beach to turn the storm north!! I know of 2 people that "drove west until they found a hotel room" and ended up in Biloxi!
