Charley a dodge for SE FL
The way the track is I just don't see the turn towards at least SE portion of Florida. Lower Keys possibly and maybe Tampa or Panhandle, but as the old saying goes SE Florida will dodge another one. If I'm wrong just reply I can take it.

probably safe
yep -- it does look like us "east coasters" will just get some gusty winds and rain with this thing. I'm certainly not getting the shutters out! But before I completely write off the possibility of a closer call, I'd like to see the overnight models with the Gulfstream data inputted. Then tomorrow morning, I'll know whether to just go "whew, that was close" or "Oh #$%#!"
Seriously, though, good luck to those of you who may face a more direct impact from Charley.
