North of yucatan?

Is there something trying to get going there. Lots of storms, and some look to be forming at this hour. What link could I go to to check Pressure info, winds etc... in that vicinity.

Nothing north of the Yucatan but some rain. Lets start looking at the wave in the central Atlantic.

3 distinct blobs of Red convection- 2 north of the yucatan and one over it..... lol maybe its smiling to show us its ready to get a storm going?

I've been gone on a cruise but I understand a few models may have been trying to develop a low over the SE GOM a few days back but have since backed off. Although I'm playing catch up on the weather synopsis over the tropics right now the deepening convection over the southern GOM is something to keep an eye on if it persists.

What up Destin, will be There the 7th for Usssa State (softball) That's what caught my eye was all that convection down there.

Dean4storms we thought we had a winner with a confirmed LLC, but the darn thing could not get going. I think Dry air kept it from going.

It was mainly NE shear that kept that system in check from developing.

The current GOM convection looks stronger than anything 90L produced. 90L was nothing but a teaser.
