wouldn't surprise me to see some new action there before too long. Any thoughts?

If Alex stays stationary much longer(maybe another 4-6 hours) combined with afternoon heating and better outflow energy across Florida into the GOM then its possible that enough moisture will converge in the GOM to fire up something worthy of mention. ATT 90L is feeding off of Alex, however if Alex continues to put food on its plate then its only a matter of time before 90L can make it on its own.

I agree that the gulf must be watched. Something could indeed pop up there. If 90L does develop it will go into mexico since its already in the southwestern gulf of mexico, but with all the thunderstorms in the eastern and central gulf, thats were something might try to get going at as more thunderstorms will most likely develop down there in the evening like all the other evenings the past few days.

I've noticed around 25.0 and 85.0 another circulation in the GOM....just thought that I would point it out. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... -loop.html
