right about 15.1n lat and 75.2 w long, there is a spin, but most convection is just in front of it. Everybody still giving up on wave?

ok everyone has their opinions, but this still is an system of some sort, just not the convection like yesterday.

Nothing down there but tremendous shear. That feature you saw around 15N/75W is racing west at probably over 30 mph in a band of 40-50kt easterly winds aloft to the south of a strong ridge. It'll be inland into the Yucatan in 24hrs at that speed. Absolutely not a chance of development with this system as high shear will persist in the region.

I've been watching the 97 LLC roll west, should flare up today but the Honduras will not give it much chance to develop. Apparantly the western tracking models were correct, could still make TD status before landfall though.
