TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS/TPC NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
530 AM EDT THU JUL 22 2004
FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...
A TROPICAL WAVE EXTENDING FROM EXTREME EASTERN CUBA SOUTHWARD INTO THE CENTRAL CARIBBEAN SEA IS MOVING GENERALLY WESTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH. THIS SYSTEM HAS CHANGED LITTLE OVERNIGHT AND THE ASSOCIATED
SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY REMAINS MINIMAL. THEREFORE THE RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT MISSION TO INVESTIGATE THE AREA THIS MORNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED. HOWEVER...THERE IS STILL SOME POTENTIAL FOR DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS THE WAVE
MOVES INTO THE NORTHWEST CARIBBEAN SEA. SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF JAMAICA AND EASTERN CUBA DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH
FRIDAY.
Recon has been cancelled
