From Africa to the caribbean a this full disk pic shows a series of waves lined up with some of them with more convection that others like the one in the SW caribbean, the one around 42w and the one exiting Africa.Nothing will develop of course but always it is interesting to see the waves travel the atlantic and caribbean so early even before the season starts.

Hey cycloneeye, alot of those systems comming off the African Coast look strong but look over in the East Pacific just south of Acapulco. There is a big flare up of thunderstorms that look really impressive.

Thanks HUC. It worked perfectly. That is a very beautiful look. And one monster coming off Africa.

We must remember that Bertha 1996 formed on June 4 and then went on to be first of 3 to hit NC.

To correct the date of Bertha it was at July 4th the most east storm to form ever at that early date in the season.

Thanks Cyclone Eye. I got my months mixed up. That was a tough time for us here in Cape Fear.
