DING-DING-DING!!! WREL Model Map in Progress

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Wed May 19, 2004 6:43 pm

Folks,

The software previously used for maps has timed out and is inoperable. I'm working on getting something on the web site.... IT WILL BE CRUDE...not what you're used to from WREL but hope it's a temporary workaround.

Bear with me, I need to redo much of the page and produce new model keys and other graphics, but will try to have something up tonight (5/19/04)

Link is below, as always.

Thanks guys

Colors/clarity are terrible (IMO) and I'm working on that issue. Not as clear as last year's maps; I don't have Photo Shop but any suggestions on increased sharpness? May run them through Paint before publishing.

Fixed the text and EC links...added the SREF model page.

If anything doesn't link, display or load, please let me know know while we're still in pre-season.

Thanks
Scott

Thurs Noon Update:

Did some clean-up on the page and tweaked graphics, however, the runs are now 24 hours old. No new data from tropicals and still working on how to get globals on the map.

Looks good, but you might consider making the city names brighter so they are easier to read. Thanks for everything you do!!!

Yeah, I see that as well. This is an older version of the software with no color option for the city names...I'll lighten the ground background color to see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion
