Jet Stream

#1 Postby HUC » Thu May 20, 2004 10:26 am

Hi everyone! :D
With the approching Hurricane season,i come back to the board;i followed the discussions all year long, and very happy to see all the people that were over the Palm beach chat since a few years(excuse my english, but a i think i'am the only frenchie on this board....
My question is:since 10 days we had in the eastearn carribean a strange weather pattern with overcast and rainy conditions(i never remember such situation and i 'am watching the weather here since1953!).
This apparently due to a complex and blocking situation, with throughing, humidity, and the subtropical jet stream.
Does anyone had an explanation?Does the Jet is farther south of it's normal position? What's mean's?
I hope some ideas on this situation
Than'k's,and hi to you Abajan the more south of us,and Cycloneye the puerto-rican,and MrWatkin's,And Barometer bob,and all of you.......
