3 Storms eye Philippine Coast, Nida pounds Central islands
Super Typhoon Nida at this point has slightly made landfall in the city of Borongan in the Eastern islands of the philippines. Winds are clocked at over 160mph with higher gusts. Nida will continue on a NW track and clear The Philippines in two days, soon being grabbed by a trough and exiting NE. The Philippines arent out of the claer yet, Tropical Storm 05W is located in The South China Sea a few miles off the coast of Vietnam moving WSW at 8mph. No landfall expected in Vietnam as it will sharply turn NE then curve back to the ENE. It will slowly strengthen to just near Typhoon strength in three days, at that point it will be in the central part of The South China Sea, moving on an ENE course directly for the Northern most Island of The Philippines, The San Ildefonso Peninsula. Now the other storm...Tropical Storm 06W, is heading in the same Direction as Nida. It is located just a few miles southeast of Nida moving WNW at 11mph. It will continue on this track and will strengthen into a minimal Category One storm in three days. If this storm were to continue on this track...it would strengthen to atleast a Category 2 and strike the same city as Nida is doing now, The city of Borongan facing the pacific ocean. If these storms stay on track, and hit The Philippines..tremendous damage will follow. I wouldnt be surprised if there was a minimal amount of deaths from these storms. Lets pray that Nida will steer clear of the rest of The Philippines and diminish into a small threat.

STY Nida
is now crossing Catanduanes Island (also known locally as the Land of the Howling Wind which should give some idea as to how often they experience typhoons) and then will recurve east of Luzon. The storm in the SCS is now weakened to a TD and is expected to landfall in the Mekong Delta SW of Ho Chi Minh City. I would expect 06W to recurve inside (east) of Nida's track as the trough that picks Nida up will pick up the other storm further to the east.
