Those kelvin waves form in the western pacific and move eastward towards the eastern pacific and that factor may propagate some warm waters from west to east in the comming weeks and we have to be aware of that to see if a weak el nino trys to develop but for now neutral ENSO is what presently the equatorial pacific stands.

As would be expected...there is a pretty good MJO pulse out there as well...the most significant anoms since October of last year.
