This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

2003 final NHC track map is out

To me it looks odd with Ana's track in its own little box instead of on the big map (couldn't they spare 1 more storm?). Also a typo at the top with Grace's formation date...was the 30th of August, not the 20th. And they didn't include Danny's remnant low track either, which is shown in the preliminary report Danny track.

But aside from all that, not bad at all. Plus how can I be too upset over those little booboos when the NHC did so well with the forecasting last season.

Yea, that is really weird what you said. They may fix it later. I mean, NHC is a major website, so I doubt they would let these little errors stay. It still is a good map by how they show each of the storms, in prospective to each other. I'm suprised how many storms were just north of the islands: Ana, Danny, Fabian, Isabel, Juan, Kate, Mindy, Nicholas, and Odette. I still wish they showed the Tropical Depressions on the seasonal map. They are pretty much tropical storms but without strong enough winds to be named. They're all cyclones to me.

Just a though on the map... They might not have been able to show Ana that well because of so many tracks from other systems over the past season. Maybe that is why it is in its own seperate box? Just a thought and comment on it. Otherwise, what a great map.
