I just found out that we now have Tropical Storm Peter. This make 16 named storms!!! First time since 1887. Even though this is short lived, this was as suprising as 1999's Tropical Storm Emily. Emily was short lived as is Peter. I do not expect him to get over 60 mph. As a matter of fact, Peter appers to have peaked and is quickly becoming extratropical:

Nevertheless, continue to watch Tropical Storm Peter and Merry Christmas! It is (I'm no longer saying has been) one hell of a hurricane Season 2003.
