GFDL (not great in cold mid-lats) is on board. Timing is everything and it will be interesting to see where the Mid-Atlantic coastal Low develops and tracks. If "Odette" were to rapidly intensify (55MPH TS) and the Low hugs the coast before pulling out, this could get dicey.
BTW, I lived in Portland, ME during The Perfect Storm and covered it for 2 days (with 0 sleep

), so I never use comparisons to it lightly.
