Isaac: Late August. High-end Cat 4. Ends up impacting the Caribbean islands, including the Antilles and Hispaniola before moving on out to sea. Many speculations on Storm2k that it will defy the curve and hit the US, except it doesn't.

Leslie: Early-mid September. Moderate Cat 5. Becames the first major East Florida coast hit since Jeanne in 2004 (but barely misses Miami), and then moves across the Gulf and hits Galveston Texas as a moderate Cat 4. Storm2k goes insane.

Patty: Late September. Moderate Cat 2. Impacts Central America. Storm2k complains about how sloppy and sheared it is, but then completely becomes serious when they realize how wet and slow-moving it will be.

Adria: Mid-October. High-end Cat 5. Becomes the season's strongest storm. Ends up as a powerful Caribbean cruiser, the first since 2007, and impacts Jamaica before moving over Cuba and hitting Sarasota Florida as a low-end Cat 4. Storm2k goes insane again.

Season ends with 4 storms retired. Isaac is replaced by Irving, Leslie is replaced by Layla, Patty is replaced by Paige, and Adria is replaced by Alyssa.

Now that Beryl is done, I’m gonna have to go ahead and ask you to erase take back the Leslie blurb. Lol

While I think Isaac will be a big bad storm, that's imho a late August-early September issue.

I think the one to watch (and yes, this is going to sound crazy because it probably is  ) as the big one to happen in between now and then is Debby. The Atlantic basin is quiet right now, but I have a sinister feeling about this level of quiet. Something just doesn't seem right. The basin is warming up as we head into August, wind shear seems to be favorable (even during a suppressed MJO phase!), and there doesn't seem to be a major wave-breaking issue. I think the basin is gearing up to produce a monstrous Cape Verde hurricane to open up the month of August.

I think Debby will either be another dangerous Caribbean Cruiser, or it may be an open-ocean cruiser that affects somewhere along the Eastern Seaboard. Cat 4+ hurricane. Gets retired and replaced with Daphne, Daria, Daisy, or Dorothy in 2025

Did I just jinx the Atlantic? I mean, it's not going to be a Cape Verde hurricane, but....you get my point

Unless explicitly stated, all info in my posts is based on my own opinions and observations. Tropical storms and hurricanes can be extremely dangerous. Do not think you can beat Mother Nature. Refer to an accredited weather research agency or meteorologist if you need to make serious decisions regarding an approaching storm.

Strongest hurricanes of the season-
Prediction: Francine, Helene, & Leslie
1) All 3 will strike the U.S. as Major hurricanes, with primary impact to Florida, Louisiana, & Texas between Aug 10 - Sept 10
2) All 3 will achieve reaching Cat 5 intensity over the course of
their respective storm tracks
3) Francine and Leslie will tie Hurricane Allen for highest
sustained winds (190 mph) recorded in the Atlantic basin

Strangest Track/Landfall-
Prediction: Nadine
1) Will rapidly develop in E. Caribbean and move Northwest and first striking Hispanola.
2) Downgraded to a TD, Nadine will track slowly northward before sharply turning westward and eventually striking between Jacksonville Fl. & Savannah Ga. on the morning of Sept. 8 as a Cat 1/2 hurricane.

Deadliest Hurricane of the season
Prediction: Tony
1) Will strike Central America as a Cat 4 between Sept. 25 - Oct.
5, resulting in season's deadliest (human toll) storm impact

Eerily accurate considering how the season really got its kick as soon as Helene formed :double:
