Any thoughts on the areas.....

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

First of all, the only way to detect any circulation with weak disturbances is via a combination of high-res visible satellite imagery and surface observations. QuickSCAT winds can also be used, but they could be over a day old. Nightime IR imagery is not what you want to look at, as you're looking at the cold, high tops of thunderstorms, not the low clouds near the ocean surface.

That said, I just opened up GARP and plotted reports around the Caribbean disturbance. I don't see any signs of a circulation. However, this region is the prime area to look for any possible late-season tropical developmenet. As for this system, mid-level steering winds are driving this disturbance inland into Nicaragua and Honduras, so development is unlikely.

The system near 45W is encountering very high wind shear. There is no evidence of a circulation.

i agree that the season is over although this has been an above wamer november for the panhandle of florida. i don't remember any storms forming this late in the year. however, 2003 had the earliest storm to form what's to say it won't have the latest. :)
