TPC Rips east of the islands wave

11:30 AM EST tropical weather outlook

Showers and thunderstorms located east of the southern windward islands have diminished.

Elsewhere... Tropical storm formation is not expected thru saturday.


I think that the models are not too bullish right now about this unless my friend Stormsfury has the latest from CMC that shows development or if they backed off. :?:

Hey Luis.. I'm not knocking you {I hope} I hope I'm knocking NHC but it looks like diminished is spelled wrong lol

I edited it to take out the u but the important thing is that nothing will develop east of the islands.

FYI, that's NOT the wave that I'm expecting to do anything ... it's the one currently out in the Eastern Atlantic ... that's the one to keep an eye on (that's where I believe the vorticity signature will originate and continue moving westward uneventful until after 50ºW) ...

Yes, that's the one the model has been honing in on. It is showing signs of breaking from the ITCZ as we speak. Quite impressive for this time of year :wink:
