Mid-level flow across the NW Caribbean is strong from the SSW-SW today and for the next 24 hrs, then it drops off and shifts to NE-ENE. There is a brief period of decreasing shear down there in 24-36 hrs, but the steering level winds would likely drive it southwest to west-southwest into Mexico.
