I would not think of that as a monster being nasty. I think the wording implies a very large or broad low pressure. It covers about 20 degrees.

I agree with you on that 980.. It won't get to be too nasty. It'll just be rain and winds when it gets here.. {assuming we're discussing the possible ts/sts}

If not .. then sorry for getting involved in this thread. I'm a little lost this morning :)
