The exposed low center is now starting to move more to the west as it has no deep convection but as it moves more to the WNW it is going to weaken further as strong shear will not let it grow again and in a couple of days it will only be a remanant low.

Thanks, Luis. Good to see the chances for Nicholas affecting anyone are pretty much zero.

If Nicholas is now a TS, then that swirl of low clouds in the east Gulf last week was a tropical storm, too. That's all Nicholas is, a swirl of low clouds. Not one squall is left.
