Morning thoughs of CV storm
Yes, I have not updated any atlantic ocean water vapor images since Thursday (pure laziness on my part as these take me a total of 5 minutes to create SSMI images... will be up by early this afternoon), atmospheric conditions appear to be very favorable for further development. I would be very surprised if this does not become a hurricane by the mid to late parts of the week. The steering is a bit more complex though as there does not appear to be any well defined steering currents (no mammoth ridge like with Isabel)

The consensus on this board is that it is for the fish before it hits the Winwards, but I've seen reports that it may not be that easy. The cyclonic flow to the north is drying up and some reports are that a dome of high pressure may build along and push 93L on a more westward track. The models have not handled the cyclonic flow to the north well. Is this the uncertainty in steering your referring to Derek?
