Any word on cost of Isabel?

Has the damage estimate from deadly and destructive Hurricane Isabel came out yet?

You won't hear a early preliminary estimate till End of November / Early December when the NHC release the year summary.

But the offical cost will be till early next year when the preliminary reports are written and posted on the site.

The local newspaper here in Newport News VA stated a few days after the hurricane that the pricetag would be around $1 biliion.

I KNOW FOR A FACT FORT MONROE ARMY BASE IN HAMPTON SUFFERED 200,000 IN DAMAGE AND LANGLEY OVER 300,000.......THATS 1/2 BILLION FOR TWO BASES ONLY.....TOTAL DAMAGE WILL LIKELY EXCEED 1BILLION IN VA ALONE...AND COULD TOP SEVERAL BILLION IN THE NC,VA,MD,WV,PA STATES COMBINED

Thats 1/2 a Million Mike ,unless you meant 200million and 300 million :wink:
