It is clear in the visible pics that the LLC is exposed and the NHC may downgrade it at 5 Pm EDT if it does not organize with the convection onn top of the center.Shear is taking it's toe on the system so I think that nothing more than what it is now will move south of Bermuda.

Recon has failed to find TS-force surface winds for 2 days now, what makes you think the NHC will ever downgrade it? :wink:

Why were they so quick to name it? To me, it's never looked like a TS.

I got it....the forecasters at the NHC have a pool going and one of them is trying to make his number. The forecaster took the over. Winner gets trip to Hawaii.

GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged

Mindy will be downgraded at 5 PM to a TD as the center continues to be exposed this afternoon and recon didn't find tropical storm force winds in the area.This was a wimpy storm from the start however it dumped plenty of rain in Puerto Rico.
