What names will be retired for 2003 (SO FAR)?
Maybe...
Claudette- Moderate Damage on Texas coast
Fabian- Extensive Damage to Bermuda
Isabel-Billions in damage to North Carolina, Virginia, and other east coast areas, and over 40 deaths.
Juan- Damage to Nova Scotia
Ignacio&Marty- Damage and deaths in Mexico
My top 3 most likely:
3. Claudette
2. Fabian
3. Isabel

Isabel will likely be retired ... I'm 90% certain of that. The effects were felt over a lot of real estate and the damage, and certainly a very memorable storm.
Fabian also should be retired. Bermuda was absolutely pummeled by Fabian. The storm in dollar figures wasn't anything like an Andrew like tll, but considering Bermuda is only 21 square miles and the NE quad went right over the island with tremendous force. This storm will be a very memorable storm and that alone would be one of the prerequisites of being retired.
Claudette ... I doubt it's retired.
Ana ... nope, no chance. However, it earns it's place in history nonetheless as the first tropical storm in April for the North Atlantic of record.

Fabian has a better chance than does Isabel since Fabian affected Bermuda as a major while Isabel was a cat 2
Thats my thinking too. With Isabel the dollar amounts might push it over the top but then those dollar cost are a bit relative.

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.
Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged
Opinions my own.

I can honestly say that I don't think Claudette will be retired, I did after all say that there is a possibilty, the possibilty not being too high.
There is no way at all Ana will be retired; the criteria doesn't include storms that form between December 1st and May 31st in the Atlantic Basin that don't do major damage, etc.
If Ana were to be retired, then Claudette should be retired twice over.

No more Isabel
Isabel should be, and probably will be, retired due to the major damage she caused. Doesnt matter if she was a Cat 1 or 2 or whatever. Wasnt Alison retired? She was only a TS.

My thoughts are Claudette and Fabian will both be retired.

Fabian and Isabel probably will.
Ana, no way. Didn't bother anybody at all, and just because it made formation history does not boost its chance of retirement.
Claudette, no. Damage was relatively bad in some areas of Texas, but not anywhere near bad enough for it to get retired.
Also, I still think Juan should get a belated retirement for what it did to Louisiana back in 1985 (damage was over $1 billion, in today's dollars it'd be near $2 billion). But since they've had 18 years to do so, I doubt they will.

These are the retired names.
