PRESSURE 29.74 AND FALLING JUST S. OF.........

Dauphin Island in the north central GOM. Matter of fact, pressure has been falling all day in the GOM:

(9:00 pm CDT on 10/10/2003)
0200 GMT on 10/11/2003: Wind Direction (WDIR): SE ( 130 deg true )
Wind Speed (WSPD): 21.4 kts
Wind Gust (GST): 23.3 kts
Wave Height (WVHT): 4.3 ft
Dominant Wave Period (DPD): 5 sec
Atmospheric Pressure (PRES): 29.74 in
Pressure Tendency (PTDY): -0.01 in ( Falling )
Air Temperature (ATMP): 74.3 °F
Water Temperature (WTMP): 78.4 °F
Dew Point (DEWP): 71.8 °F

Could mean something Dixie.. or it means that it just hasn't been a good weather day lol 1 or the other.. :)

It's just a frontal wave, produced by a mid-level vort max. Not tropical at all. In fact, it's the same system that dropped 4" of rain on me around 5pm as I drove home yesterday and had me heading for higher ground until the flood subsided. My wife was nearly flooded-out. She was stuck at a KFC place for 3 hours.
