Models Also Picking Up On

#1 Postby Steve H. » Wed Oct 08, 2003 9:30 am

Various areas of development during the next week, particularly an area in the Eastern GOM OR over/just offshore East central Florida. The GFS shows development near the east coast of Florida day 3/4 and the Canadian shows development in the eastern Gulf, crossing the peninsula day 4 and bombing out offshore the Fl east coast heading to the Bahamas. Lows also showing up on the NOGAPS and UKMET. Let's see what the next few runs show. Lots of model uncertainty in this changing pattern.

Looks interesting. Needs to be watched to see if something develops.

Whatever may develop would be something of interest... it has been dry across central Florida again. However, portions of the area saw some rain yesterday. The Debary area had 4 inches from strong to severe thunderstorm activity.

There seem to be lots of little pieces of energy, but nothing too consistent from run to run.
