JB excerpt:
The monster ridge over the north Atlantic will head eastward, with a new ridge developing southeast of Bermuda over the next five days. This will force the upper trof in the Atlantic to back to the west and allow plenty of outflow-level ridging over the system as opposed to the shear occurring now. We are at the time of year where systems approaching the Caribbean must be watched. The usual southeast winds in the islands are already being disrupted, and so you folks in the Caribbean should pay close attention here.
