New ECMWF interesting ...

#1 Postby Stormsfury » Sun Oct 05, 2003 9:36 pm

The ECMWF on the 12z run earlier today indicates something potentially brewing offshore of the Carolina Coast either Saturday or Sunday. Whether it might be a tropical system or not remains speculation.

However, looking at the 500mb heights, it looks more to be in response to a digging 500mb trough which begins to become neg. tilted at the end of the 7 day period.

Looks like the low it wants to develop moves over Cuba and out of the Caribbean.
