LARRY NOT ASHORE 5EDT SUN;BUT WILL;996mb

#1 Postby john186292 » Sun Oct 05, 2003 4:27 am

Three recon plane fixes all show it is NOT yet ashore, this sun morning at five east.day.time.
Avila calls it a tenacious storm. But all globals show it coming ashore soon. Then, on to the pacific as the high pulls it along. I wonder if anyone has Mex. radar link that would show the center as it moves ashore. Or just waits awhile before going ashore.

Thoughts on Mexico ---
As if mex. did not have enough problems, three at once. And thousands living near that volcano!
Someday they will regret not having moved.
Italy is paying relocation for those near its volcano.

Mex city will soon be the worlds largest city, i read. Anyone able to verify that ? People living on its garbage dump, and the city sewers in the winter (for warmth). Global warming will make it all worse. Has that country any future other than becoming another Bangladesh?

I agree that Larry will come ashore in Mexico later today, though somewhat farther to the east than I had initially thought would be the case. Moreover, given its very close proximity to land, I do not believe that my earlier idea of its possibly becoming a hurricane prior to landfall will verify even if some late strengthening does occur immediately prior to landfall.
