Kate looking more ragged and less organized now....

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Kate looking more ragged and less organized now....

The symmetric nature to Hurricane Kate is not in place any longer. Westerly winds are starting to do some damage with Hurricane Kate and Kate most likely has peaked in intensity. Weakening is forecast from here on out.

Also notice the eye looks more ragged. Certainly all the signs point at weakening at this stage of the game.

And the change in direction will start very soon as that big trough will serve as a barrier to protect the beautiful island of Bermuda.
