When I was employed by EDS in the mid-90's, there were a couple "college degreed" individuals in my department that needed assistance logging onto their PC workstations EVERY MORNING. Who did they ask for assistance?? Me...and I never went to college a day in my life (but did know how to login to my computer

I don't happen to agree with the channel 4 meteorologist that a significant TS or hurricane will race toward the Gulf Coast later this week....but his education level has nothing to do with it. Instead it's my experience of past similar situations and knowledge of the synoptic weather pattern currently evolving (a November-like trough with a strong upper jet and loads of stable, dry air pouring into the GOM behind the front with more on the way...near record cold for so early in the season).
This current BOC system is far more likely to be absorbed by the front or become a baroclinic hybrid storm (sub or none-tropical) that a true tropical storm or hurricane. In fact, my analysis is that a significant hurricane is impossible in such a hostile enviroment.
