Nothing will develop in the BOC as long the upper winds are too strong.

I don't think we have much to worry about anymore here in Louisiana. It was 54 degrees last night and with the fronts that keep coming down with a persistent northerly flow, it will be very hard for a TC to make it up here. Hello fall, goodbye hurricane season!

Fall is setting into the gulf coast states and that will put a close to the hurricane season in the gulf coast.

Hold on a second. This is the first cold front of the year. There have been so many major hurricanes in the W Carib that have enevtually moved into the GOM after the first cold front that I cannot even count.

The cane seaosn is not over for the GOM

Ya, dont think cyc meant its is closed now, just that as the fall months move in more and more it will eventually close out the Gulf season... I agree however that its not done there yet

Yes chad as more and more fronts come down with time less and less are the chances for the GOM to get development as waters begin to cooloff.
