Frontal Boundary Wavers...

#1 Postby Coriolis2003 » Sun Sep 28, 2003 8:18 pm

It certainly appears as though the cloud canopy associated with the front in the GOM and Florida is shifting a bit to the north. Sure hope it doesn't ruin the cobalt blue skies over north Florida tomorrow.

In the GOM is drifting back to the north. Whether this is a temporary fluctuation in air masses or a trend - time will tell. Back to the FOOTBALL game.

It's after midnight and that front definitely looks as though it's being pushed northward. Guess that means a rainy early week for WC Fla. as well as our friends on the SW coast. And, if Invest 90 manages to develop, it might be anyone's guess where the path will be -- if that front doesn't sink south soon.

Interestingly our local OCM's, at least one of them, is saying that 90L will end up in the BOC/SW GOM and finally bring us rain late in the week as it moves in over NE MX or S TX. I have been figuring this might happen since it has been lollygagging down there and has now apparently missed both troughs or is just about to miss the 2nd one. Could be the ole split several are talking about happening too.
