I have a question about wave heights...
I see all of these awesome wave heights and the wind speed doesnt seem to be what's generating them. Off of east coast of Florida, waves are almost 14 feet but the winds are less than 20 knots. Somebody offer an educated reason please?

may only 20 knots *there* but those waves are being generated by a HURRICANE. And they are all the way up here in sunny, pretty, breezy South Jersey, too, Alicia.
There is nothing 'weak' about Isabel, folks.
