From Hurricaneman in the model forurm "The last few runs of the GFS seem to break off a frontal trough in the central Atlantic and now the 6z seems to form a tropical storm from it and send it towards the east coast so this may be something to watch since the frontal trough seems to break off at about 168hrs or so on this run"

the thing is one has to watch these as such storms such as Danny in 2003 and Bob in 1991 formed from similar things in the same area as this is modeled so this may need to be monitored
the area of interest is at 27n 50w at 168 on the GFS

I don't see that the GFS does much with that cut off low other than bring some moisture towards FL in the 10 day range or so, the storm that the GFS develops and sends towards the Bahamas and into FL (east coast) is from a tropical wave to the east of it from Africa.
