WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST FLORIDA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY AREA - RUSKIN FL
842 PM EDT THU SEP 11 2003
.CURRENTLY...ANOTHER NICE EVENING WITH FAIRLY DRY AIR IN THE
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PARTS OF THE CWA. TPA GOT DOWN TO A 62 DEWPOINT
A COUPLE OF HOURS AGO.
.SHORT TERM (TONIGHT-SAT)...FLOW CONTINUES TO BE FROM THE NORTHEAST
AS WE ARE BEING INFLUENCED BY THE HIGH TO OUR NORTH AND THE REMNANTS
OF HENRI NORTHEAST OF US. HENRI MIGHT FINALLY GET OUT OF THE
PICTURE/MOVE ONSHORE IN NORTH CAROLINA BY SATURDAY AND THEN WE WILL
BE LEFT WITH ONLY THE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE INFLUENCING OUR FLOW, AT
LEAST IN THE SHORT TERM.
THE EASTERLY TO SOUTHEASTERLY FLOW LEFT BEHIND WILL START TO MOISTEN
US UP, BUT THE MODELS HAVE A PW GRADIENT FROM NORTH TO SOUTH, WITH
THE SOUTHERN ZONES HAVING HIGHER VALUES. THIS FITS WITH WHAT WE ARE
CURRENTLY SEEING, SO HAVE KEPT THE DAY SHIFTS HIGHER POPS (10%
HIGHER TOMORROW AND SATURDAY) FOR THE SOUTHERN ZONES.
.MARINE...NO HIGHLIGHTS AS WINDS VEER DURING MUCH OF THE WEEKEND...
BUT FOR THE SEA BREEZES IN THE AFTERNOONS.
.TBW...NONE.

It's sort of illustrated here. See where Henri (or whatever you want to call the Low Formerly Known As Henri) is? If it moves onshore, it leaves only the high pressure ridge.
Thundering louder here so I'm going to bed to save my computer from another lightning attack. My old computer died the Sunday before Allison. Not gonna let it happen again.
