The western component to Hurricane Isabel's motion has begun, stated in my last post. As expected Isabel has been interacting with the ULL and indeed she is doing just that. Isabel will continue to move between both peripheries of the ULL and the Ridge to her north... AKA up over the top of the ULL and south of the periphery of the newly establishing Atlantic ridge, kind of like a zonal flow if you will. Unanimously Dynamical Models Turn the Hurricane more to the West, the 18Z GFS at 252 H locates Isabel in the Bahamas and at Hour 276 just on the Miami coast, some think the run may be bogus but I assure you the idea is not. Overall at this point I cannot see anything that would hinder the westward motion from here on out. IMO Isabel is going to have to be dealt with in the coming days ahead.
More Later
Isabel will have to be dealt with

Well then...
Well then, count me in. That makes 3 of us!
It's times like this that I wish my mother hadn't retired as an administrator at Jackson Hosp. She always had a heads up on what the county was doing as far as alerts and preps. I DO know, however, that Jackson's administrators are slated to meet on Thursday afternoon to discuss Isabel. I suppose they aren't taking this lightly.

Heather... it is good that they are meeting Thursday. That shows that they are preparing. It is always best to be prepared. I hope that the public pays attention as it gets closer to the U.S. I don't have any fingernails left now as it is...what will I have in a week? :o
