Area of disturbed weather in EPAC - IS EPAC INVEST 97E

#1 Postby hurricanes1234 » Fri Aug 24, 2012 6:51 pm

Hey, guys, here's a thread to post your views for that low in the eastern Pacific near the Gulf of Tehuantepec with a 20% chance of development within the next 48 hours. Below is the 5:00 PM discussion from the NHC east Pacific outlook.

ZCZC MIATWOEP ALL TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 500 PM PDT FRI AUG 24 2012

FOR THE EASTERN NORTH PACIFIC...EAST OF 140 DEGREES WEST LONGITUDE..

1. THERE HAS BEEN LITTLE CHANGE WITH A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE GULF OF TEHUANTEPEC. ALTHOUGH ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE NOT CURRENTLY CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT...THEY COULD BECOME MORE FAVORABLE DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...20 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES WESTWARD AT ABOUT 10 MPH.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
