It was a success today in Kemah! Its been way too long since us weather enthusiasts got together in the Houston-Galveston area. It was great seeing Srainhoutx, Ticka, Txflagwaver, Nikki , Houstonia, Deborah Emmy Nowinski and VbHouTX. Lots of laughs. Even a tropical seabreeze thundershower with CGs came by to say hello. We will do this again.

As I told Steve yesterday on the local board, if I can get enough advance notice I would love to join y'all next time! Who knows, maybe I could bring a carful of Austin members with me?!

This one only had a 2 week notice which is still not long enough. We have discussed another get together in the Fall. October/November. We just need to pick a date and location so everyone can begin to make plans to attend.

Houstonia - I have been looking for the old picts all day......still no luck. I know I have them. I have found a ton of weather, high school, and Alex picts....the search continues.

Definitely need more notice, probably at least a month I would think. We had a great time at Kemah, but I think we might want to also look at moving the get together further North so it isn't as much of a drive for some of the locals. There are a lot of great places in the downtown and mid town areas these days. After we firm up a time we can firm up a place.
Who knows we could have a 2 state get together with members coming in from TX and LA. That would be great!!

If we are planning ahead to October and November, the renaissance festival can be a fun place to hang out (if a bit out of the way). I'd have made it to Kemah, but it was the last weekend my boyfriend was in town before moving away, so I had other things going on.
