Radar Links Page - Looking for More Links

#1 Postby wxman57 » Wed Aug 08, 2012 8:51 am

I'm putting together a group of radar links for use when tracking tropical cyclones (or for other weather systems). Here's what I have so far:

I'm sure those aren't all the radars available. Post your links here and I'll add them to the list.

Thanks!

Gm wxman57...here's a link for the Canadian Weather Radar & offices

http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html

Also here's the link to the Philippine weather office: PAGASA however I'm not finding any direct radar links on it but it is packed full of information for their areas.

Thanks. I can't find any radar reports there (Philippines), either.

A few things.

1) Your links to the Aruba and Curacao radars are the same. Is there actually a radar on Aruba? (I'm pretty sure there isn't one)

2) As you've probably seen, there is a radar on St. Maarten, but it hasn't been working for a while
http://www.meteo.an/Img_Radar_SSS_Cappi_Still.asp

3) I read a few years back that a weather radar is either being planned (or perhaps in the process of being built by now) for Grand Cayman. The latest update on its status...

"1.2 Cayman Islands Weather Radar Project It is not installed yet. Factory acceptance testing was just completed and it should be shipped to the Cayman Islands within the next two weeks (May 2012)."

This update comes from: WORLD METEOROLOGICAL ORGANIZATION COMMISSION FOR BASIC SYSTEMS- OPEN PROGRAMME AREA GROUP ON INTEGRATED OBSERVING SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION/ COORDINATION TEAM ON THE INTEGRATED OBSERVING SYSTEM - Seventh Session
(GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, 18-22 JUNE 2012)

...which of course, is GREAT news.

While not radar links...there might be links here that lead to some in this thread:
