#1 Postby DreamworksSKG » Thu Aug 11, 2011 12:44 am

What is the risk of a New England landfall of a cat 2-3 or 4 hurricane this year?

We're overdue and its been 20 yrs since our last landfall (hurricane bob)

Theres no such thing as overdue, just prepare because it could happen next week or happen 50 years from now

True. Mother nature does not think or say "hmm that area over there hasnt had any storms in 30 years, its time to change it up a bit :slime: :grrr: "... It just doesnt happen in the real world, only in the movies (not even lol). if it did, thatd be the scariest thing ever! So, like Hurricaneman said... its just best to be prepared. What we can say is that chances of a category 3 or 4 slamming New England as a direct hit are much lower statistically than in areas like GOM, Florida, SC and NC, in terms of a U.S. landfall.
