iPhone apps - Sat graphics?

I've found a few apps to do weather in general, but found actual sat viewing (whether looping or not) to be sub-par in the "general" weather app world.

I found "Rain Radar" gives all the NOAA weather stations for free, unmolested views of doppler radar. I suspect it pulls straight from NOAA.

Anything found similar for sat views? Don't need a billion, just the basic GOES views would be nice. Some web pages will work on the iPhone so maybe I should just find and bookmark a collection.

Ive been wanting to pull the trigger on the Radarscope app for some time now. Its good to hear some positive feedback. Since this thread is somewhat old, is there anything newer that anyone would recommend radra app-wise? i am in Waco, Tx (Central Tx) and want a good radar with some accurate and detailed loops zoomed in to my region with a road/county/river overlay. RadarScope have this?

Any recs are much appreciated. a $10 app is doable if it has what I'm looking for. Just want some some firsthand info and experiences that people have had with it. TIA

accuweather has a very nice and FREE weather app with radar, hour by hour forcast and video forcasts.
even has a 15 day forcast!

Droid users... finally what looks like a decent hurricane app! I check the market pretty often and just found it today. It looks like it's been out about a week or so. I need a system to really test it, though. I'm sure the developer will continue to improve it, but it looks promising.

It uses skeetobiteweather.com for the computer models.

I too, am surprised to see so few good quality apps for Android phones, especially in light of the so many various apps out there. Seems to me, that those already mentioned here in this post indicate that a couple nice apps exist for I-phone customers, but not android users. Even with standard web sites, the Java platform which operates the majority of the radar or satellite loops, just do not seem to work on my HTC Incredible.

This all said....., I finally found a great site ( one of which I most typically use on my desktop computer at home ) which operates with the "Flash" technology rather than Java. I easily loaded and bookmarked this site on my Android phone, and use it ALL the time! For worldwide satellite views of all oceans, it also offers every single sat. enhancement ( eg. Rainbow, IR, Water Vapor, Dvorak, RGB, Vis, etc ), Storm Floaters, plus interactive functions for zoom, loop speed, and much more. Just as I had finished leaving my post, did I see someone's mention of Hurricane Hub. Actually, I had only recently downloaded this app myself, but not really quite what I was seeking. This app is actually quite "clean" and offers anyone with a casual interest in tropical cyclones a nice quick way to view a static sat. pic. It offers very organized tabs to view any warnings, updates, and stuff like "what to do", emergency contacts, etc. For me however, I am seeking a site that cleanly brings crisp vis. & various IR enchancements and must have looping feature as well. Good radar animation is a plus as well. Now, if I can find this while also offering a full range of GFS, Euro., GFDL, and other model data for surface, 500mb, and upper air....., THAN i'll be in heaven!

I have the Evo android phone. Im running version 2.2 aka Froyo, which means Im running flash 10.1, in other words flash works like in my laptop. So I can view all regular nws radara with loops just like in my desktop. Same with all the sat loops from nhc.

Htc incredible should be getting froyo soon, then you will be rocking.

Still nothing found. "Rain Radar" is the only app I've found for free that gives all the standard NOAA radar (doppler) sites data, and all the modes. As for sat graphics,

Still nothing for free, save the NHC mobile site. Kittycode looks like it's about 30% of what can be done, so no purchase here for me.

Have you all tried "My Radar" It zooms into your location and you can check radars throughout the country. I live in Colorado, recently we had a reunion in Destin,FL and it was great using this app to see rain coming our way. It might not be the best, but it does work and the price is right
