The GFS does almost instantly poof that area though on this run as soon as its been over water for 24hrs.

The CV area needs to really be watched from the 20th onwards, the models seem to be quite keen on building a strong high in around that time....till then any CV waves recurve.

I agree with KWT, the high is going to build in sooner or later, so we should enjoy the recurves why we have them.

It's a military security site...you have to allow your browser to view it

I don't think the lid came off, more like its beginning to come off. I agree that any cape verde storms will easily recurve for the next 10-14 days at least. So if Danielle does form out of 93L, it's an easy curve. We'd be ahead in #'s of storms if 92L becomes a weak Danielle/Earl and 93L becomes a moderate-strong TS Danielle/Earl, or neither of them develop and we continue to await the "D" storm.

Will be interesting to see if it does anything but given the GFS pretty much instantly gets rid of it I'm not expecting too much from this.

But if it’s a military security site, shouldn’t the situation be the other way around? I would have thought it would be up to the site to decide if to allow your browser to view it.
