We've all seen the videos of storms like Charley and Katrina doing their direct damage as they make landfall....but there are some videos out there that have gone under the radar, so to speak. These videos show systems effecting areas in an 'unexpected' or 'surprising' way given there was no direct landfall and conditions far exceeded what one would expect with that scenario.
Check these out....1) Fort Lauderdale Beach with T.S. Noel making its closest approach to the area….about 180 miles to the east!!! Interesting to read the youtube comments where some folks question whether this is really Fort Lauderdale beach…as a resident, I can attest that this was the scene in Fort Lauderdale when Noel was in the vicinity of the Bahamas.

2) Palm Beach county beaches being impacted by the "Halloween Swell" of 1991....swells generated from the Perfect Storm more than 1,000 miles away!!!

3) Remnants of Hurricane Ike effecting Ohio!!!

Any other videos that show surprising and unexpected impacts from a tropical system? Post them!!!
Surprising and unexpected...check these videos out!!!
