Could it possibly mean some rain for East Texas at some point? I'm getting worried up here.

Does that mean some rain coming our way? I am not good at forecasting lol. It looks interesting on Sat pics though.

Chance for rainfall today and tomorrow for some across the area, but you folks in Central TX will likely have some subsidence (sinking air). After tomorrow, the Upper ridge looks to build in and become anchored across the area meaning higher temps and little if any chance of rainfall for the foreseeable future IMHO.

More than likely the steering patterns over the SE CONUS and GOM will take the ULL into Northern Mexico. It'd be nice to get some more rain, but I wouldn't count on it from this one. The high pressure is firmly entrenched over the S CONUS right now.

Thanks for the quick replies! I researched 'TUTT' so I could understand the concept/term better. Weather can get quite complicated to a layperson so I really appreciate your expertise SRAINHOUTX and VBHOUTEX.
(As an aside, we are still working on Hurricane Ike complaints/concerns/issues here in Austin)
