That looks to be an issue now but, the models do show it gaining lattitude as it progresses. Of course that means more shear so it has a tough road ahead yet. Pretty healthy wave for June.

In the long run, that's probably the issue of most significance. It really doesn't matter much if this wave does not develop, or developes into a tropical depression before being sheared to death at 50 west. What matters is that even this early, the eastern Atlantic is producing impressive waves that show signs of organization.

There is definitely shear at 40, but once it get past that if it stays low, not so bad.

For being June 12,seeing this is telling as I said before as it may be a sign that things will get very active at the MDR area later on.

Geez that thing is 5 N lol
it has 2 days of upper level support and plenty of warm sst's. it has a decent chance of at least being a invest. we should see the whole system turn wnw very shortly as the vorticity increases. should be pretty interesting over the next couple days. beyond that even if it develops it will not survive as a named system but what ever energy/circulation is left from the shear could eventually make into the western carrib or western atlantic and find better environment.
